Shannon Hatfield was born and has lived most of her life in Woodford County. She grew up attending Woodford Christian Church where her mother taught Sunday School for years. When Shannon and her husband Kevin were married, they started attending Southland Christian Church but soon joined Southside Christian Church and soon after Shannon was asked to be the Children’s Director at Southside Christian Church. At that time she was teaching in the Children’s Ministry but really had not given a thought about being the Director. Kevin and Shannon had been praying about the direction God wanted them to go. So, she accepted and became the Children’s Director at Southside. God has given her such a passion for children's ministry. She began her ministry at Gardenside in 2008.
Kevin and Shannon have been married for 11 years. Kevin gives Shannon such great support with the Children’s Ministry. He is great help to her. They have two amazing children. Don Case and Elizabeth Kaye. Case plays football for a recreational league in Woodford County and loves it. Elizabeth loves gymnastics and is cheerleading this winter for As 1 Sports Ministry.
